Ngallery continued to explore the themes of the cycle Noise, Silence, What Now by inviting Sylvia Hinz, one of the leading recorder players worldwide, specialised in contemporary music and improvisation. The German musician and ensemble director presented a workshop, a talk and a special edition of the concert The Sadly Unknown.
The Sadly Unknown With her ongoing concert series The Sadly Unknown, Sylvia Hinz promotes and stimulates the work of mostly women composers who are unknown to the public, while upgrading the role of the recorder in contemporary music. The works are usually performed for the first time in the countries where the concerts take place. Sylvia Hinz collaborates directly with composers, who create exclusive works for recorder, vocals, sound objects and electronic sounds. The works presented at the Athens edition of The Sadly Unknown were composed exclusively for Sylvia Hinz.
